Enamoured lovers, Peter and Rita, immediately fall for each other and, on their wedding day, a mysterious old man insists on kissing the bride. While honeymooning, Peter gradually realizes that the woman by his side is not his wife and it was by some cruel twist of fate the kiss caused Rita's and the old man's souls to change places. Peter must track down the old man and free his young love's spirit, trapped in an aging and diseased body, before it's too late.

Solstice Theatre’s spring production this year is Halfway There. This delightful comedy is written by Norm Foster, one of Canada’s most successful and prolific playwrights. Halfway There tells the story of four women friends who meet every day in the local café. However, things change when an eligible bachelor, the new doctor, arrives in town. The play is about friendship, relationships, and life’s choices, but most of all, it is very funny.

Mercury Players Society closes their 2025-26 all-Canadian season with Timepiece by Vancouver playwright Kico Gonzalez-Risso (April 24–May 10). Retired watchmaker Walter is becoming forgetful — or is he just being difficult? When his wife wants to downsize and their adult children weigh in, the result is a compassionate, hilarious look at ageing and family.

The Exile and the Onion Girl, adapted by Lindsay Price from Aeschylus' The Libation Bearers, follows siblings Ore and Onee, reunited after ten years apart — he in exile, she banished to the kitchen. Their mother murdered their father, and revenge seems demanded. But blood is complicated, and more of it doesn't necessarily solve problems.
